LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERINGBecause of your generosity we’ve raised $12,759 toward our $15,000 goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. If you haven’t had a chance to give, we will collect through the end of December. All monies raised goes toward the International Mission Board and reaching the world with the gospel message. Please write Lottie Moon on your offering envelope or you may give your gift online at www.shoalcreekbaptist.org and select Lottie Moon. Let’s strive to meet our goal!
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICEJoin us for our annual Candlelight Christmas Eve Service at 5PM. We’ll have carols and communion. This will be a 30-minute service.
PONY EXPRESSThe Pony express is available for you to exchange Christmas cards with church members. Please check it regularly to drop off or pick up your cards, located in the sanctuary foyer.
SPECIAL CALLED BUSINESS MEETINGWe’ll have a brief special called business meeting December 29th after the morning service to elect deacons.
WOM FORTY FORTY CHALLENGEWomen on Mission will be participating in the Forty Forty Challenge January 1st - February 9th! This is an opportunity to bring your daily devotional to LIFE. This happens by completing a 1-mile walk or run each day focusing on the Lord and completing a study of The Book of John. The cost to participate is $30 and can be made payable to SCBC. This purchase includes a 2025 challenge t-shirt, a finisher medal, scripture readings, and much more! We’ll meet once a week on Sunday to walk and fellowship together. Please contact Sarah Willis if you would like to participate. If you are unable to walk or run a mile a day, find a physical fitness activity that can amount to 20 minutes a day to focus on Christ.
CENTRIKID KID’S CAMPOur children’s ministry (2nd – 6th Grade) is heading to CentriKid at Shocco Springs July 4th – 6th. This is a 3-day overnight camp loaded with rec, worship, Bible study, church group time, and a variety of other fun events rooted in Scripture, a safe location, kid-friendly programming, and staffers who are deeply invested in your kids. We have 4 spots open. The cost is $250 per child. The deadline to register your child is January 15th with a $75 deposit due the same day. For more info, please call the church office.
YOUTH TRIP INFORMATIONNew Orleans Mission Trip March 23-28 (Spring Break), cost is $349 and due January 8th (9th – 12th grade).Student Life Camp @ Shocco Springs May 26th – 30th, cost is $379 and due January 22nd (6th – 12th grade).
