THRIFT STORE RELOCATION VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDOur Community Thrift Store is moving to a building next door to the current building. They need all the volunteers they can round up to help them move on Saturday, September 21st beginning at 8AM. If you have questions, please call 256-822-2119.
PRIME TIMERS’ EVENTS• Sept. 17th – Trip to Cook’s Museum in Decatur 9AM. Meet at the church at 8:30AM to carpool. Cost: $17 for military and seniors 65+; $20 <65. Lunch afterwards at B.B. Perrins. Dutch treat.• Sept. 23rd – Meeting/work session for upcoming events 4PM fellowship hall. Pizza provided. Please bring salad, salad dressing or dessert. Please let Sandra know if you plan to attend.• Sept. 27th – Game Night in Fellowship Hall 5PM. Please bring finger food.
BROTHERHOOD SKEET SHOOTBrotherhood Skeet Shoot is Saturday, Sept. 28th at Limestone County Skeet Range (28755 Coggins Rd, Ardmore, AL 35739). Sign in at 8:30, begin around 9AM. Last 2 – 2.5 hours. Brotherhood will cover range fees. Bring a shotgun and ammunition (100 rounds). Text Adron at 256-606-1510 by Sept. 20th to reserve a spot. CHRISTMAS CHOIR (CHILDREN & ADULTS)The Christmas Choir is back! Join us Wednesday nights at 6:15 for Christmas rehearsals leading up to our BIG Christmas service December 8. You will also gain access to listening track. Children 3rd grade and up who want to sing need to register at HERE. Kids will practice with adults in late October or so – more details later. In the meantime, after registering they will receive a link to listening tracks to practice in the car or anywhere!
MINISTRY CELEBRATION SERVICE/CHILI COOK OFFOur next quarterly Ministry Celebration Service will be Sunday, Oct. 6th at 5PM. Afterwards, our Women on Mission will host a Churchwide Chili Cook Off in the fellowship hall. If you’d like to bring chili, please let Sarah Willis know at 256-791-1378.
COMMUNITY FALL FESTIVALSunday, Oct. 27th 6PM – 8PM Veterans Park. We’ve teamed up with Boys & Girls Club to host a Community Fall Festival with free food, candy, games and fireworks. We need trunks for the trunk or treat! Our goal is 50 trunks. Sign up at www.shoalcreekbaptist.org. If you have questions, please see Maggie Denney 256-345-4428.
SERVANT OF THE MONTHSeptember’s servant of the month is Ginger Pennington. Ginger faithfully sings in our worship choir. Thank you, Mrs. Ginger, for your faithfulness and dedication to your church and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
